Rita Does Rock
So, Lifetime decided that it was time for the family sitcom to re-breath and they've done a pretty good job at making that happen.
RITA ROCKS is a really fun show with a great cast. The show is about a mother of two daughters, a very sexual teenager and an adolescent, who just needs to break free and finally gets a chance to have two hours to herself every Friday to have band practice. The father/husband is supportive and loving, but very typical. He works hard, is irresponsible as a dad occasionally and LOVES basketball, almost sickeningly.
Anyways, you got Nicole Sullivan, one of the sexiest funniest women alive playing the mom and as lead guitar and vocals.
Richard Ruccollo who ruled as Pete on "Two Guys and a Girl" as the dad/husband.
Tisha Campbell who still rocks it hard as the mail lady, best friend and keyboardist and vocals.
Ian Gomez, who is not the sexiest, but is one of the funniest comedic actors around as the next door neighbor and bassist.
Ricky Ullman from "Phil of the Future" as the daughter's boyfriend, freeloading teenager whose parents hate him and also the drummer.
There's also the two daughters, the elder is played by Natalie Dreyfuss, she's pleasant to look at. I think she's 20 though playing 16.
Anyways, it's a fun show. Well written, clever, and on the website you can actually see the first three episodes. I watched five of them through a sneak peek week showing that I downloaded on torrents though. The show has a lot more to tell and do still, so I hope it comes out good.
