The Emmys sucked... BUT!
The bit with Ricky Gervais and Steve Carell was awesome. I didn't catch on that Carell was ACTING till almost near the end. I honestly thought that for some reason he just wasn't into the humor at his expense. Then I saw how tightly he was holding himself and realized it was all an act and that even though it was all adlib, it was a planned adlib and it was freaking hilarious. It was my actual laugh out loud moment of the night. I rarely if ever laugh out loud (ask people... I don't smile, I don't laugh), but that had me laughing my ass off.

Tom Smothers receiving an award for writing on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and Steve Martin's speech, as well as Tom's were classic. While Tom seemed scattered, he achieved brilliant political commentary with just a few words and no names. Kudos, Tommy Smothers and bravo. The only thing I didn't approve of and it seemed like Steve was a bit uncomfortable with it too was introducing himself with his 30 year old introduction that he hasn't done in 30 years.
