R.I.P. James Doohan. A stalwart of a man and legend of Pop-Culture has finally been beamed up.

The opening sequence of Star Wars: A New Hope looks absolutely awesome when it's in LEGOS... you'll just have to take my word for it or unlock the "?" in LEGO Star Wars.

That was totally worth the "price of admission", which I admit was free, since it was a bonus/gift for work I'd done earlier this year... but still, definitely worth finishing every level to 100% to see that little video. It's MUCH cooler looking than this...

Fans of the recent Tim Burton film adaptation Charlie and the Chocolate Factory might enjoy the character pages for Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde, Mike Teavee, Augutus Gloop and the Oompa Loompas.

Hey look, I re-found my most favorite background images of all:

It's connected to Grim Fandango, if you were wondering...

This week on Velocity the Blue World Order (Stevie, Meanie and Nova) wrestle a match and Stevie seems to challenge the Mexicools to a match at the GAB (I assume this will be on HEAT at it's one match). That same Velocity will also feature "The Future" Frankie Kazarian and Danny Doring & Roadkill. Smackdown this week does have a Rey Mysterio vs. Super Crazy match and another awesome bout. Julio Dinero also appears, but gets wasted. I'll still be watching... the two awesome matches sound like their worth it. I like good wrestling matches... which is why I'll be watching TNA Impact on Friday... spoilers are out on that and there's some GREAT matches and their next PPV already has a good card lined up from them.

Ya know what match I wanna see? Nova vs. Simon Dean... that'd be a mat classic... ;)

For fans of Steve Oedekerk, check out this FAN-Made THUMB parody of KUNG-POW! I'm not sure how more extreme if pop-culture insanity you can get.

Want to order some really obscure, weird, strange, utterly cool rare films not available anywhere else? I send you to Different Movies. Some highlights of what they have available include: The KLF-The White Room, Pink Floyd's The Final Cut, Conrad Rook's Chappaqua, High Strung (the Jim Carrey/Steve Oedekerk film), a bunch of Shuji Terayama films, a bunch of Yoko Ono films, and tons more.

Charles Band/Puppet Master fans will want to check out Wizard Entertainment (no relation to Wizard Magazine)... I personally can't wait for the release of 1989's The Intruder (this was a Lawrence Bender script directed by Scott Spiegel with Bruce Campell and the Raimi brothers and starred Dan Hicks as the killer)... although the new films Band has made and have in development look fun... Decadent Evil looks like a RIOT... I LOVE Phil Fondacaro!! Yet the one that I HAVE to see is The Gingerdead Man... starring... GARY BUSEY!

courtesy of [info]yendi check out moon.google.com and ZOOM in all the way. It's VERY rare that I laugh out loud at a joke... this time though?

Looking forward to seeing what happens tonight on INXS: Rockstar... not really sure who will be up on the block, but I predict Jessica, Deanna and sadly Neal (who proved he's an absolute idiot with no PROPER music training last night). I'm still a big fan of Marty Casey and Jordis Unga. I don't want Marty to win though, cause I'd much rather him make it with Lovehammers... so if Jordis wins, that could become a very interesting band.
