    Time Event
    4:18p
    Yeah...I'm alive...
I've been quite neglectful of Livejournal. I've been reading everything (from drama, to nonsense, to comics, to pop culture news and following links and bookmarking them), but I rarely comment, cause what I think of to say seems so inconsequential, that it'd be easier to just read the next entry. Especially since very day I seem to be up to 100 entries behind. I don't know if this means I should trim my friend's list or if my friend's list is just crazy prolific.

Anyways, last week was crazy busy with two exciting events.

Wednesday Night was the book signing/release party for [info]66kmph's PARADE (with fireworks) published by IMAGE Comics. After saying hello to Mike at the signing, I walked around downtown taking photos before heading over to the after party. Had a great time talking with all the fabulous [info]act_i_vaters about millions of topics, over music, pizza and drinks. I ended up staying fairly lately talking to Cavallaro and Troyin before finally hustling my way home. Of course I ended up forgetting that the R train doesn't run after midnight and realized after two trains passed. Luckily I had my newly acquired copy of the third edition of Andrew Vacchs' Another Chance to Get it Right that I had picked up for $3 to keep me company.

I have a bunch photos from that night, but here's one and a link to the set that has more. I haven't posted everything yet.

[info]heartshapedkey, [info]dangoldman, [info]man_size and SBC (who only uses her LJ account to comment...)

Thursday night was another time of rivalry with the [info]act_i_vate gang, for the opening reception of Infinite Canvas over at MoCCA. What an awesome exhibit. I did a lot of talking and shot a bunch of photos (inside the event and outside on the streets). I've been using some of those images to create wallpapers and other such fun. Had a total blast and really enjoyed myself. Here's another photo for your perusal from that event and the link to the set here.

Friday night was... well, usually Fridays are The-N Night for me unless I find an event that I just can't resist or there's party or my buddies want to go do something and that happens about every other Friday lately...but this Friday was The N, so I watched South of Nowhere and The Best Years. Two shows that couldn't be less teen dramas but are billed as such and on a "Teen" network. Although in Canada, they're just marketed as TV and placed on Global (which airs HEROES, Family Guy, Prison Break, Las Vegas, etc.)

I had a super lazy weekend...in which I traveled to various castles, mystical rivers and dark ruins. I also watched an awesome MMA event on Showtime. There's another major MMA event tonight on Spike. I somehow doubt it'll be better than the EliteXC show, but you never know... Kenny Florian usually puts on a good show, plus it is matched up with a new season of The Ultimate Fighter. Damn it to all heck that Kid Nation is on tonight too... and Back To You (I wanna see Fred Willard...even though his stuff on Leno is horrible).

Damn...Okay... I rambled enough here and I didn't even mention pirates... woops... oh well.

A Fun Game for those Who Can Photoshop
So I made up a "game"... called... "What will The Joker photograph?"

Using the cover from an upcoming issue of BOOSTER GOLD, in which Booster discovers that The Killing Joke wasn't supposed to happen.

Anyway...the cover has The Joker photographing Booster protecting Batgirl...

I took that image out and created a white space...

Then I created a black barrier which you could then use to magic wand something new to put in the space.

For those who are completely at a loss when it comes to Photoshop it'll make no sense...here's a finished product:

Under the cut I'll supply you with the new files you'll need to play on your own. If you need a QUICK tutorial, I'll offer in comments...but if you know your photoshop, you should know about layers, magic wand and cutting/pasting from image to image.
