[wrestling/movies] Joining Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan, The Rock and Jesse Ventura....
Last night I was lying down in bed and for some odd reason I starting singing "BREAK THE WALLS DOWNNNNNNNNNN!" and I realized that wrestling needs only one man really badly right NOW and that is
Chris Jericho.
So I decided I'd go see what Mongoose McQueen was up to. He became an actor and he made a movie called
Android Apocalypse of all things, which premieres on Sci-Fi on June 24th. WWE.com had actually already written about this it seems and tried to trick people with the headline that Jericho was coming to SWci-Fi just like ECW.
The actual stars it seems are Joey Lawrence and Harsh Ream/Wolf Creek's Scott Bairstow.
It's written by the "brilliant" Karl Schiffman and directed by that virtuoso Paul Ziller. These two previously worked on the film "Back to Action" which not only starred Billy Blanks, but the Rowdy One Himsel, Roddy Piper... who we all know is a direct influence on "Lionheart". So at least Ziller knows wrestlers or something.
Yeah... it's another Sci-Fi original movie. Have ANY of those been good?
