2:52p	Taste of Chinatown and SVA Fresh Meat 2006 The rain poured down hard on me as I was on Doyers St. enjoying some of the most amazing Lo Mein I'd ever had and making a purchase of walnut cookies. It would be one of many stops as I walked along Mott, Mulberry, Baxter, Bayard, Mosco, Pell, and the aforementioned Doyers buying rice balls, pork pancakes, coconut cake, beef ribs and an other assorted amazing food for $1 to $2 a plate. I truly got a Taste of Chinatown and brought much of it home. One of the best items purchased were a couple of sample bags from New Beef King, best Jerky EVER! Another nice spot is Nice One Bakery, as well as Sanur on Doyers. Taste of Chinatown is really a great event to clue you into some of the better spots to go to in aan area where trying to decide to go to dinner can be quite the chore. Then with a bag full of Asian food I headed over to SVA for FRESH Meat. Below is a sample of some sketches I got. More can be seen in the FLICKR set. It was a really nice event and many mini-comics were bought. Got to say hello to yaytime and goraina, but mostly hung with my buddy Rich. We spent a nice chunk of time talking to Jim Salicrup, who was kind enough to walk with us and his huge umbrella afterwards. 7:23p	RHC Nerd Notes [5/24/2006] Long time since one of these huh? I'm hoping my next job I'll have time to actually do these again regularly (at least during lunch break maybe), but for now, I am at home and here's a new one. MUSIC: Blacklight Burns Supergroup with Wes Borland of BIGDUMBFACE/Limp Bizkit, NIN and A Perfect Circle's Danny Lohner, Telefon Tel Aviv's Josh Eustis and The Vandals/A Perfect Circle's Josh Freese Jordis Unga: Everyone's favorite gal from Rockstar:INXS is gearing up her "debut" solo album. ART: Jeremyville: Graffiti, clothing, mix-cds, books, stickers, vinyl toys, whatever! MOVIE: 95 Miles to Go: I don't like Ray Romano. I don't think I ever will. Yet, I don't find him annoying enough to not enjoy comedy tour films. So far everyone comic on tour movie has been good, this doesn't seem change that. OTHER (BILL & TED): All of Bill & Ted.org is awesome but the site has some specific highlights Bill & tedd's Musical Adventure (make sure to check out the soundtrack) Episode Guide to Horrendous FOX TV Show (not the cartoon) Comics from LOOK-IN Magazine Behind The Scenes stuff from evandorkin's Bill & Ted comic TELEVISION + Music: Fans of Juniper Lee would also I assume be a fan of the theme song. You can read about the theme song and download it here. The band mentioned, Ready Twilight, still has their website up, but hasn't been updated since 2004. FUN: Thanks to dryponder for giving me this link to a perfect time waster/distraction in The Dungeon Man 3. It's a text parsed with awesome vector graphics thingee and it rules.
